Turkish Airlines has been officially recognised by Guinness World Records for flying to the most countries worldwide.

With an impressive reach spanning 120 nations over the past year, the airline has established a substantial 30-country lead over its nearest rival.

This milestone was celebrated in grand fashion at the Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport during the launch of its inaugural flight to Chile, marking a historic moment for both the airline and the global aviation industry.

Representatives from Guinness World Records, alongside airline executives, gathered for a ceremony where the official certificate confirming this record-breaking feat was presented.

This acknowledgement not only celebrates the routes flown in the last year but also highlights the airline’s extensive network, which currently expands to 131 countries, including temporarily suspended routes and the exciting new connection to Santiago.

Commenting on this achievement, Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi expressed his enthusiasm.

“We are delighted to be in Santiago, Chile, our newest route launched today, and to receive the Guinness World Records™ title for the Most Countries Flown to by an Airline.

“As the only airline to hold this distinction for over a decade, we proudly showcase the strength of our flight network and reinforce our mission to connect people, cultures, and destinations around the globe,” said Ekşi.

Talal Omar, VP – MENA & Türkiye at Guinness World Records, also commended Turkish Airlines for this milestone and said that its steadfast commitment to connecting the world exemplifies vision and excellence in aviation.

“This remarkable achievement affirms its vital role in the global aviation landscape, reaching more international destinations than any other airline.

“We offer our congratulations to Turkish Airlines on this extraordinary accomplishment and declare them, with great distinction, Officially Amazing™,” said Omar.
