The PSL on Wednesday finally announced the venue for the MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC, with the game set to be played on October 5.
Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium beat out bids from various provinces, including Gauteng, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and Mpumalanga to host the final.
The news will be welcomed by Steve Barker’s team, who have used Moses Mabhida as their home away from home due to the Danie Craven Stadium, Athlone Stadium and the Cape Town Stadium being unavailable due to a number of rugby games, including the Springboks’ huge clash last weekend against the All Blacks.
