Award-winning TV and radio personality Zanele Potelwa has added a sparkling new accolade to her impressive career, being named “The Next Big Thing” at the prestigious South African Style Awards.
The awards, scheduled for the end of May, have chosen Potelwa as a testament to her profound impact on the industry.
In addition to her monumental achievements in front of the camera, she gracefully juggles multiple roles as a 5FM drive-time radio host, a presenter for Selimathunzi (HotSPotSeli), and as a host of the Expresso Show and Tropika Island of Treasure.
With a humble heart, Potelwa expressed her gratitude, stating, “I feel so blessed; God has been so good to me. I have prayed for all these amazing opportunities that are now taking place in my life, and I do not take them for granted. I hope you stay on this beautiful entertainment journey with me because you are who I do it all for, and of course, to honour God with the gifts that He has given me.”
As she continues to expand her influence, the television personality is aptly heading into the entrepreneurial sphere with the launch of her own clothing line.
Additionally, she reveals that she has plans for an initiative named 'Mentorship Meetup', geared towards providing guidance and disseminating valuable information to young talents in the entertainment industry and beyond. This initiative signifies her commitment to uplift emerging voices and foster the next generation of superstars.
The South African Style Awards encompassed a plethora of remarkable talents; in the Most Innovative Style category, winners included Shudufhadzo Musida and Yuri Pailman, while the Most Stylish Performing Artist in Film/TV award went to Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, and Zoe Modiga took home the prize for Most Stylish Performing Artist in Music.
