The TEARS Animal Rescue Cattery has reached full capacity, with an overwhelming number of kittens (under four months), juveniles (four to 12 months), and adult cats in need of homes.

While small kittens are in the highest demand, older cats often struggle to find loving families.

Many of the juveniles—essentially older kittens—are at the perfect age and size to adapt well to children, other cats, or cat-friendly dogs.

Some of these cats are part of bonded pairs and have spent their early months at TEARS without ever experiencing the warmth of a family to call their own.

With the cattery operating at maximum capacity, adopting a cat not only changes the life of your new companion but also saves another at-risk feline by freeing up space for rescue.

Homeless cats face severe risks, including exposure to harsh weather, starvation, and dangers such as road accidents while scavenging for food. As temperatures drop, these animals deserve the chance to find safety and warmth.

Every cat adopted from TEARS is sterilised by their veterinary team, helping to break the cycle of overpopulation.

The TEARS adoption process is simple and consists of three steps:

  1. Completing an online adoption application.
  2. Visiting TEARS to meet your potential new pet.
  3. Undergoing a home check.

If you're looking to welcome a feline friend into your home, now is the perfect time to adopt and make a difference.
