A 74-year-old man was brazenly kidnapped on Tuesday morning in Gqeberha.
Eastern Cape police said Ebrahim Moosa stopped at his workplace on Cuyler Street in Kruisrivier just after 10 am when he was snatched.
Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg said according to information as Moosa arrived at his workplace, a vehicle followed him into the premises and blocked him.
"Three suspects got out of the vehicle and forced the victim into a double cab LDV. The suspects drove off in an unknown direction."
Police said the motive for the kidnapping is unclear at this stage however police investigation is underway.
Police are investigating a case of kidnapping and are appealing to anyone who can assist in tracing Moosa to contact Colonel Alvira van Staaden on 082 319 8424 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.

Meanwhile, police are still searching for nine-year-old Emaan Fatima who was kidnapped outside a school on February 4, 2025.
The Directorate for Priority Crimes Investigation (known as Hawks) said they were still searching for Fatima.
" At this stage, our primary focus remains the safety and well-being of the victim.
"Given the sensitivity of the investigation, we cannot divulge further details at this time."
The child's father in an interview with ENCA appealed with the kidnappers to release his child.
