All brides want their wedding day to be perfect and run smoothly, especially after months of planning.

This bride is no different and is willing to do anything to make sure that her day is indeed nothing but perfect, even if it means upsetting a family member.

A 27-year-old Reddit user took to the “Am I The A**hole” page to find out if she would be wrong to not invite her sister to her wedding because she has a service dog.

According to the bride-to-be, the venue that they chose has very strict rules when it comes to pets because of its historic nature.

“They’ve made it clear that no animals are allowed on the property except for legitimate service animals,” she writes.

However, her 25-year-old sister, who suffers from severe anxiety has a psychiatric service dog, a Golden Retriever named Max, who helps her with panic attacks and other symptoms.

“Max is highly trained and well-behaved, but he’s still a dog, and the venue isn’t willing to make any exceptions,” she adds.

When her sister found out about the no-dog policy, she was upset and assumed that her sister would make a case to the venue for her and the dog.

“The thing is, I’ve been waiting for this day my whole life, and I don’t want anything to go wrong. I’m worried that even though Max is a service dog, he could still cause some sort of issue or be a distraction. Also, I don’t want to start a fight with the venue that could risk our deposit or the entire booking,” writes the bride-to-be.

In an attempt to make a plan so that her sister could attend without the service dog, she offered to arrange transportation and a pet sitter for Max nearby, so her sister could check on him whenever she wanted.

This, however, didn’t work for her sister who said that she needs her dog with her at all times and added that if Max couldn’t be at the wedding then she wouldn’t be able to attend.

“My parents are furious and think I’m being heartless. They said I should be willing to do anything to have my sister there on my special day. Some of my friends agree while others think my sister is being unreasonable for putting me in this position,” she writes.

Now she’s asking Reddit users: “AITA for sticking to the venue’s rules and not letting my sister bring her service dog?”

Unfortunately for her, many users have responded that she is in fact an a**hole.

“I hope none of your family shows up for your wedding. See how "perfect" the day is when your half is empty. YTA (You The A**hole)” was one response.

Another commented: “YTA. You are free to make your own choices, but you are not free from the consequences. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.”

“Yep YTA. Your sister has a licensed service animal, and if you refuse to allow her to bring it then you are a top tier AH. Also it is illegal for any venue to bar service animals from entry. So don't pretend like this issue is the venue's. It's 100% your own,” said another unsympathetic user.

This bride is just one of many who would do anything to have a perfect day.

The brother of another bride was recently kicked out of the wedding by his sister because he was using the wrong colour crutches, while another bride demanded that all of her bridesmaids who have brown eyes were to wear blue contact lenses!
