Talking dirty and being sexually adventurous seem to come more naturally to women than men..
In the survey, conducted by K-Y’s Good in Bed sex site, women were revealed to not only be more experimental in bed, but were far more likely to have talked dirty and shared fantasies with their partners than men.
While most respondents - all of whom were in relationships - said they enjoyed sex with the lights on, wearing sexy lingerie, having sex in different areas of the home and using lubricants, more women than men were willing to go further in the bedroom.
The survey director for the site, Kristen Mark, said the findings may come as a surprise to many.
“Women have for so long been constructed in our society as prudes who restrict the sexual expression of their male partners,” she said. “This survey shows that that just isn’t the case.”
Being sexually adventurous is, perhaps unsurprisingly, linked to the sexual satisfaction of both partners - so much so that the more open-minded and repeatedly adventurous the couple, the longer the relationship lasted.
Half of the survey’s respondents said they watched porn as a couple.
In a previous survey, Good in Bed revealed that women are more bored in their relationships than men, despite being more sexually satisfied.
A quarter of those respondents - over half of whom were married - said that boredom in their relationship had led to infidelity, and nearly 60 percent were keen to try something new to spice up their sex lives.
In both surveys, the majority of respondents were married and had children.
The site recently published other new findings that suggest more men fake orgasm than previously believed - and that as women grow older, they climax more regularly and with more “quality”.
One thing both sexes agree upon is their shared enjoyment of orgasm - though simultaneous climaxes are far rarer than many a Hollywood movie may have some believing. - Daily Mail
