Now the man who helped invent Viagra is on a mission to help men suffering from another problem between the sheets.
Professor Mike Wyllie has created a spray-on drug that he claims could help nine in ten men who suffer from premature ejaculation. Available from today, the Fortacin medication contains low doses of two anaesthetics that reduce sensitivity and help men carry on lovemaking about five times longer.

Research showed that after nine months use, the average duration of intercourse had risen ten times. Prof Wyllie was part of the team in the 1990s that created Viagra to tackle erectile dysfunction.
Now at biotech firm Plethora Solutions, he believes the spray is the ‘next big revolution after Viagra’. He said: ‘Premature ejaculation has a devastating effect on relationships. It may not be talked about as much as erectile dysfunction, but there’s no doubt can cause the same level of distress for both a man and his partner.’ A can that provides 20 doses costs £99.99.
