Win tickets to the Grammy award-winning musical 'Dear Evan Hansen'

The acclaimed musical "Dear Evan Hansen" makes its South African debut this week, opening at Cape Town's Artscape Theatre from 12 February to 9 March 2025, before moving to Johannesburg's Montecasino Teatro from 15 March to 13 April 2025. 

This moving and contemporary tale has captivated audiences globally, is now brought to life on South African stages. 

The narrative centres on Evan Hansen, a socially anxious high school student who becomes entangled in a misunderstanding following a classmate's tragic death.

In an attempt to connect, Evan fabricates a friendship with the deceased, leading to unintended consequences as his lies spiral out of control. The story delves into themes of mental health, loneliness, and the human need for connection.

Winner of six Tony Awards (including Best Musical), the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, and an Olivier Award for Best Musical, Dear Evan Hansen features a compelling pop-rock score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, known for their work on "La La Land" and "The Greatest Showman". 

Standout numbers include "Waving Through a Window" and "You Will Be Found", which have resonated with audiences worldwide. 

Directed by Greg Karvellas, this South African production boasts an all-local cast and creative team, promising a fresh interpretation of the Tony Award-winning musical.
