The Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF) has been building anticipation since early February with its artist rollouts, and the excitement has been electric.

Now, as we reach the final phase of artist announcements, we are thrilled to introduce the latest additions to an already phenomenal lineup.

Ivan Mazuze - is a masterful saxophonist and composer whose music seamlessly fuses African rhythms and contemporary jazz.

His latest album, “Penuka (2024)”, is a bold exploration of African traditions intertwined with Arab and Indian musical elements, promising festivalgoers an immersive jazz experience.

Igor Butman & The Igor Butman Quartet - Russia’s most celebrated jazz saxophonist and bandleader, whose virtuosity and dynamic stage presence have earned him international acclaim.

The Igor Butman Quartet, led by this world-famous saxophonist, is a unity of four of Russia’s topmost jazz soloists, working together since 1999.

Over the years, they have evolved into Russia’s premier hardcore jazz unit, with a rhythm section recognised as the strongest in Russian straight-ahead jazz.

Their performances seamlessly blend technical brilliance with deep emotional expression, making them a must-see act at this year’s festival.

The Brother Moves On (TBMO) - a boundary-pushing performance art collective from Johannesburg that blends avant-garde experimentation with powerful social commentary.

Their sound fuses psychedelic rock, free jazz, and African rhythms, making them one of the most exciting and thought-provoking acts in contemporary South African music.

Kelvin Momo - is the pioneer of "private school Amapiano," whose deep, soulful sound has redefined the genre.

Known for hits like “Umalukatsi”, “Mang Dakiwe”, and “Ska Bhaile”, Momo continues to elevate Amapiano beyond the dancefloor, making it a genre of global appeal.
