Jonathan Van Ness stole the show in a green satin dress at the recently-held 82nd Golden Globe Awards.
Times have changed and it’s beautiful to witness men breaking the stereotypes by exploring fashion.
Hosted by Nikki Glaser, the Golden Globes is a ceremony to honour and celebrate excellence in film and American television productions of 2024.
Styled by Alison Brooks, Van Ness, who made his Golden Globes debut, looked exquisite in an emerald-green Christian Siriano gown.
As the red carpet host, he had to impress by looking the part and he did just that by completing his look with long blonde hair and beard to grant the dress the shine it deserved.
“A night of firsts for me. First time at the Golden Globes and first time hosting a red carpet of this magnitude. Thank you @wwd & @amazon for having me. It was such a joy to witness so much artistry.
“I had so much fun bringing the pre-show to you and will definitely be posting more this week too. And a big congratulations to all of the nominees and winners. You’ve all inspired me so much this last year,” he said.
Meanwhile, his designer, Siriano, who dominated the Golden Globes red carpet, dressing the likes of Melissa McCarthy, Quinta Brunson Jessica Gunning and Janelle James, to name a few, emphasised the importance of making clothes for people to feel their very best selves no matter what.
“WOW, team Siriano. Look what we did and it’s only January 6th! Really so proud to have created looks for such diverse and talented people who I admire so much! Having your name as a designer on the carpet is so hard trust me.
“I don’t represent a large fashion house (not yet) it’s just us, so this is always such a wonderful moment when it happens because of how much work goes into making clothes like this,” said Siriano.
“You have to be able to multitask like a pro and never give up and don’t take it personally when it doesn’t work. Thank you to everyone involved and to anyone reading this which you are probably not, lol lol!
“See you at the next one! Happy #awardseason everyone and remember, fashion is fun!”
