Khanyi Mbau graced TV screens on Sunday in the premiere of the Mzansi Magic's new drama series 'Abomama Bomthandaz'
'Abomama' follows the story of four religious women who are sucked into the criminal underworld when they are forced to turn their stokvel into a money-laundering scheme.
With a cast that includes veteran actors like Nokuthula Ledwaba, Kenneth Nkosi, Don Mlangeni Nawa, Joyce Skefu, Leroy Gopal and Jerry Phele, it's no wonder Mzansi is already hooked. And as an added bonus, we also get to watch newcomer Unathi Guma make a name for herself.
Khanyi plays the role of Tshidi, an approval-seeking former ghetto queen turned suburban wife, who’s married to a reputable doctor, and after watching the first episode, where her character was the first to encourage the stokvel to go chase imali, viewers are convinced that Tshidi's character and Khanyi IRL are a match made in heaven.
Taking to Twitter, fans poked fun at Khanyi and her "love for money".
