CAPE TOWN - Finding the right soundtrack - whether you’re working from home (WFH), or in the office (or maybe, a bit of both) - may be key for some to have a productive day's work.
According to a new Spotify study by Premier Inn, which looked at South Africa's favourite working playlists, The Chainsmokers hit featuring Halsey: ‘Closer’, was the most popular song for office workers, featuring in more office-related playlists than any other track, with Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ following close behind with 40 playlist features.
‘Happier’ by Marshmello, and the classic ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey ranked third and fifth respectively for the most popular office songs.
The top 10 most popular songs for those working from home included STAY (with Justin Bieber) - The Kid LAROI at the top spot, followed by Heat Waves - Glass Animals, Peaches (feat. Daniel Caesar & Giveon) - Justin Bieber, and Blinding Lights - The Weeknd.
